Leaves. Brown. Not pretty. Lots and lots and lots of leaves. In Florida, leaves signify the end of winter and the start of weekends spent bagging them.

And these. Azalia flowers, blooming all over Northeast Florida! Signs of Spring are everywhere! Spring is short-lived in Florida...soon hot, humid days will be upon us and my hair will be a mass of unruly curls. Many bad hair-days are in my future.

Oh how I miss Florida...I'll take your many bad hairdays for just a little sunshine...it was a hi of 30F today in our part of Ohio. I think I've told you that I used to live on Amelia Island...I'm still trying to talk my husband into moving back to the South. It's an argument I never win, but I keep trying! :0)
Oh Patti! Those two pictures brought back so many memories of growing up in Florida. We had 3 azalea bushes in front of our house and a large oak tree that shed lots of leaves just like your picture. I'll take some of that warmth!
Can I come help you rake leaves??? I a DYING for spring! I miss grass. What does it look like again? I wish I were rich and could just come spend a week with you and sew and play outside!
At first I thought pic #1 was little fishes!
