HAPPY BIRTHDAY, POPPY!
Welcome to my new category, "FREE-ky Friday." I can't guarantee that every Friday will be FREE-ky, but I'll try. My dear sister-in-law Melany, sent me the pattern to make these delicious little potholders and I couldn't resist whipping up a set. I used what fabric I had in my stash and this Amy Butler combination was the first to fly into my twitching fingers. This set is my first attempt at these darlings... they're not perfect, but they're for you!

If I had your phone number I would call MacGyver and sing happy birthday to him. Then he would be even MORE greatful that you belong to him and not some weird woman who changes her own car batteries in Texas.

MacGyver ... If I had your address I'd send you some duct tape, a toothbrush, and some olive oil ... that could get you out of any mess. I mean you ARE MacGyver, right!

I think that, in honor of MacGyver's b-day, you should have MacGyver Monday! Let him have a toothpick, kneesock, coconut and paperclip and see what invention he can make!

Hey there, MacGyver/Poppy--HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I wish I could keep track of some birthdays other than my own parents, siblings and children--and I sometimes forget even those! You and the family are welcome to come visit anytime--it's nice and "cool" up here!

Happy birthday to you! Now that I have found you, I know where to turn when in need of a rescue. I have all the equipment you need: gum, hairpins, bottle openers, and some old Civil War Navy guns, just in case things get ugly.
Anyway, a happy day to you. You're lucky to have such a lovely wife who shares you with all of us perfect strangers.
Happy birthday, Mac! I have been totally bummed since your show went off the air! You were so handy at getting out of dangerous situations with, say, dental floss and a thumbtack. Or maybe a post-it-note and a rotary cutter. They just don't make TV like that anymore.
