Yes, it's GIVEAWAY time! I want you to have this newly finished bag. It's bright and it's roomy! The pattern is from Anna Maria Horner's book, Seams To Me. I'm not sure about the ribbons in the corner...how do you feel about them? So, let's get this shindig started. I'll run the contest through Friday, January 16th. The winner will be announced on Saturday, after I've had my coffee and prepared breakfast for my teenager. I should be done with that by about 3 PM. OK, here's what I need you to do: in the comments section following this post, tell me why you must have this bag. One entry per person, please. If you win and live in the Continental United States, I'll pay for the shipping. If you live elsewhere, we'll discuss the shipping and come up with an agreeable arrangement. Sound good? And please, leave your email address...
OK punks, go ahead, make my day...

I need this bag because it would be the perfect companion to my pink flamingo purse... I am starting a collection of cute purses from my favorite Florida Aunt... plus, I am the perfect niece. No really. You don't have a more perfect niece!
I must have this bag because it matches the new dress I bought on sale the other day. It's blue and sunny for summer. Yes, it's not summer yet but with the dress and this bag, I will look great in a few months!!!!
I need this bag to remind me of warm, sunny days that don't frequent Idaho in January. It would be the perfect pick me up to get to spring. And the ribbons are darling!

I found your link on Donna's blog. I'll have to thank her after I get a better glance at the rest of your blog. The soup recipe looks yummy.
Melany told me that I should post for this bag because (a) "I want the bag", and (b) "you have to sleep with me". I couldn't find any flaws with this logic.
P.S. Melany says that Donna is a suck-up.
As the man caught in the middle of this cat-fight, perhaps I should suggest that the bag go to someone outside the family, in order to avoid a feud!
LMAO! The comments are worth the whole thing!! I love the bag it is so springy! Not sure about the ribbons.
And I am not sleeping with anyone in your family...I'm just saying.
I need this bag. NO REALLY! I NEED it. NEED. N.E.E.D. Ok, maybe I just want it. But I love purses. I only have a slight addiction to them. slight. tiny. not that bad of an addiction.
Plus, if I win then I will share the purse with my Mom Gator. She won't share if she wins. She won't even share this really neat shirt that would look so awesome on me. She won't even tell me where she got it.
AND, I am not sleeping with anyone in your family either. See, there are TWO really great reasons to let me win the bag.
~whispers~ ok maybe Mom did tell me where she got it, but they don't sell them anymore. I didn't want lying to effect my chances of winning.
That is a great bag!! I love the colors! I'd love to win that bag.
Anyone who calls me punk when I am 42 years old deserves to have a purse taken off their hands! How's that for a reason why the bag is mine? ;)
Just being silly, of course!
That book seems like a good one. I am a big cheap-o when it comes to buying books though, so I order them through the library. I think that local crafters should thank ME for the great craft/sewing section at the library!
I really do deserve this bag because my mom called me a suck up and if I got the bag, it would prove that name calling gets you nowhere in life.
I realized that I did not leave my e-mail address on my last comment. So here it is... camille.choate@yahoo.com
Oh, and the reason I MUST have this bag is because I have moved from making bags to making pot holders and tea towels and I still love handmade bags. I'm too busy doing that other stuff to make them for myself!!
I just found your blog and love it. Looks like I made it just in time for your giveaway! Come visit me sometime too!
